Introduction

What is global warming? Global warming is a gradual increase in the overall temperature of the earth´s atmosphere generally attributed to the greenhouse effect caused by increased level of carbon dioxide, chlorofluorocarbons, and other pollutants. Global warming which can also e called climate change is caused naturally by volcanic eruption, green house gases and other natural natural phenomenon like rotation of the sun, and by human activities which includes the release of fossil fuel by industries, used of agrochemical by farmers, mining, deforestation, cattle rearing among others (Climate Change Impacts Human Health, 2017).

The effect of global warming.

The effects of global warming are the environmental, social and economic changes caused directly or indirectly by human emission of harmful gases such as methane, carbon dioxide, nitrous oxide and fluorinated gases in one way or the other. The impact of climate change has already been observed like changes in the timing of seasonal events, changes in agricultural productivity, rise in sea level, strong and intense hurricane, drought and heat waves, spread of disease and earthquake.

Solution to global warming.

In order to effectively address global warming, we must significantly reduce the amount of heat trapping emission we are putting into the atmosphere. We have all the technology and practical solution at hand to accomplish it.

As individuals, we need to reduce our personal emission of carbon, expand the use of renewable energy, stop the cutting of trees, reduce dependent on coal and other fossil fuels (10 solutions for climate change, 2017).
